Day 164: Hopeless
Today is day 164 of Nutrisystem 2.0 and it was nice to sleep in a little, since it's Saturday ! I woke up for good around 8:20. I have no idea what time I went to bed, but I guess I had enough sleep !
Breakfast was 160 calorie waffles with sugar free syrup and an 80 calorie yogurt. Morning snack was a 180 calorie tray of cheese bites, apples & grapes. I didn't eat most of the grapes as I'm not really a fan. Lunch was the usual chef salad & 220 calorie pepperoni pizza melt. Afternoon snack was 80 calorie cottage cheese & 90 calorie oatmeal cookies. Dinner was broccoli & an 250 calorie chicken enchilada. Evening snack was a 140 calorie lemon zest cake. I had a fair number of Hershey Kisses & some low fat wheat thins as well.
My plan for today was to whip the kitchen into shape as I really let it go this week. However, I started the day watching the "Trooping The Colour" coverage. I'm not a huge fan as Charles & the Ho, but I love seeing the rest of the Royal family. I also enjoy the pomp and circumstance that is the British monarchy. It seemed like the crowds were much smaller than the Queen used to draw, but that might just be because of the video feeds I viewed on YouTube.
Last night I resolved to get the Total Gym set back up, so I vacuumed the living room carpet in preparation for that. The motivation to exercise and adhere to Nutrisystem has been out of whack for a long time, but my job situation has made it much worse. This weekend I intend to work hard to turn that around and use diet and exercise as my coping mechanism, instead of eating junk and being lazy.
I had planned to go to the post office today but forgot all about it while watching the Trooping coverage. Oh well !
I spent some time today watching videos about the HireVue virtual interview process. I'm kind of intimidated by it all. It's a requirement of any job you apply for with Lumen Technologies. They're a telcomm company and I would be a perfect fit there ! I'm also nervous about my interview Tuesday for US Bank, which is basically a pre-screening with the recruiter to see if I'm worth a "real" interview. I also spent some time polishing my LinkedIn profile.
I managed to work up the motivation to wash the dishes, scrub the stove top and load & run the dishwasher. I didn't have a lot of stuff for the dishwasher but it's a good idea to run it periodically. I had a little bit of a panic because I thought the dishwasher was leaking. I heard was sounded like water dripping ! I investigated and it was nothing - just the water running through the plastic house under the sink into the drain. Whew - that was a relief ! I was really happy with myself once the kitchen was clean !
I spent the rest of the day watching YouTube videos and avoiding my video interview. I just feel so scared and hopeless.
