Day 59: On The Edge
Day 59 of Nutrisystem 2.0 was another slow start. I think I took the magnesium too late last night (10 pm) as I was awake until 1:30 am or so. Needless to say it was a struggle to get out of bed ! It was a crisp 20 degrees when I got up but by noon it was up to 35.
Breakfast was 150 calorie pancakes with sugar free syrup and an 80 calorie yogurt. Morning snack was a 120 calorie vanilla shake. Lunch was green beans and a 220 calorie pepperoni pizza melt. Afternoon snack was 200 calorie cheese & crackers. Dinner was broccoli and a 250 calorie meatloaf sandwich. A squirt of barbecue sauce and some pickled onions dressed it right up ! Evening snack was a 140 calorie chocolate cupcake. Total calories are .. well, off the chart.
First workout of the day was 34m23s in Namibia. This one was a challenge because about 22 minutes of it was at 3 mph. At the end there was some 10% incline but the speed dropped very low, so low that I actually increased it ! In the evening I embarked on an ambitious 25m25s hike in Namibia. The speeds were completely manageable but the 10% incline did me in because the speed was higher than I could manage. I ended the workout at 22 minutes and skipped the cool down. I got 64 minutes in today and I'm ok with that.
My workday was pretty productive and at the end of the day I took on 5 or 6 new items. I'll have time to take the first steps on them before I dig in to the final steps needed to close out a bunch of projects. I think next week is going to be great because I'll be able to put the finishing touches on a lot of oldies !
After work I decided to go to Wegmans since we have a winter storm warning tomorrow. They're saying we could get 6-12 inches of snow. The roads were clean and dry and snow wasn't forecast to start until 7 pm tonight so I went for it. I was back home by 6:30 and still hadn't seen a flake by 8 pm, so I'm glad I went. I ended up buying some salted caramels, a bag of Hershey Kisses and a bag of Reese's peanut butter eggs. As soon as I got home I had 2 caramels and a Reese's. I felt so much better after I satisfied that craving. Now I have to work hard on restraint. I didn't buy any baked goods or other stuff, so that's a little bit of a win. I also avoided the urge to stop at DQ for a burger and blizzard ! If the weather is nice Sunday and I feel like going out I may go to Christmas Tree shops or Walmart. I would like to get a few more jars of baby food even though what I have should last me until next Saturday.
Sadly, I binged on the chocolate caramels and finished off one container (yes, I bought 2 because they are small). 130 calories per serving and 8 servings on the container per the label, so that is 1040 calories .. nearly a FULL DAY of calories on top of what I normally eat. This is what happens when I deny myself.
I'm going to bed.
