Day 93: TGIF, for real !
Today is day 93 of Nutrisystem 2.0 and it got off to a LATE start !! I woke up at 8:05 ! Somehow I turned off the alarm in my phone. It's a good thing I don't have far to go to get to work ! The late start should have been a warning that today was going to be another unproductive day !
Breakfast was 160 calorie waffles with sugar free syrup. I love waffle day ! I never got around to having my 80 calorie yogurt, so I had it in the evening. Morning snack was a 120 calorie chocolate shake. Lunch was a chef salad and 220 calorie pepperoni pizza melt. Afternoon snack was 80 calorie cottage cheese and 90 calorie oatmeal cookies. Dinner was broccoli and a 180 calorie jalapeno & white cheddar stuffed chicken stick. This is actually a lunch item but I bought a bunch of them thinking it was a dinner item. They're pretty good and easy to cook in the air fryer. Evening snack was a 130 calorie carrot cupcake. Total calories for the day are 1060. I was a little hungry at bedtime so I had a few almonds before bed.
All of today's workouts are from the April iFit challenge. First up was 35m41s in Hawaii. The trainer pace went up to 3.9 mph and I can't walk that fast, so I settled for 33 minutes at 3 mph. After work was 25m7s in Turks & Caicos. I went with the trainer pace on this one. Most of the workout was at 2.8 mph but about 15 minutes in there was a 3 minute stretch at 3 mph. Last workout of the day took me to New Zealand for 20m4s. During the first half of the workout the speed gradually increased from 2.5 to 2.7 to 2.8 and then about 10 minutes in, it jumped to 3 mph for about 5 minutes. There were some 1% and 2% inclines and a brief 5%, but it was nothing I couldn't manage. I logged 80m52s plus 18 minutes of cool down/warm up for a grand total of 98m52s ! Not bad for a Friday !
As I mentioned, work started late and went downhill from there. Everything I touched was a disaster and I got nothing done. So frustrating ! Oh well, Monday is another day and hopefully I'll be able to get some actual work done.
I did manage to line up 3 siding contractors to give me estimates next week. I have a local guy coming Monday, Lowes on Thursday and Comfort on Friday. There is a 4th local company I'm considering getting an estimate from as well. They do things other than siding and might be able to do my basement stairs and a porch remodel, if I have enough money. My guess is I will end up going with Lowes for the siding. I suspect their estimate will be lower than Comfort and going with individuals makes me nervous because if they do a crappy job or run off with your money you end up having to try to sue them. I don't need that hassle. If Lowe's does the work I expect they'll stand behind it and you are paying them, not an individual. Same for Comfort. I know both would do quality work and will stand behind it. Still, I'm willing to get an estimate from a couple locals just to see where their price falls compared to the big guys.
